Djabrina comes from the South-Shore of Montreal. She chose to carry on her career in a business that offers a lot of challenges and care about the environment! Despite her young age, she attained an important position that allows her to achieve diversified tasks. She really enjoy dancing… and declare that it is in the Témiscabitian soil that she was fully able to satisfy her passion. She enjoy the area so much that she convinced her parents to settle here!

Francis participate in every project and express itself in every stand. Becoming, at 20 years old, one of the youngest city counselor in Quebec… that is a concrete example that it is possible to get involved and make changes in Abitibi-Témiscamingue!

Hugo came back in the area to work as a teacher-researcher at the Université du Québec in Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT). Driven by an indestructible regional support and encouraged by the welcome and generosity of the native community, he rapidly set up the Canada Research Chair in native forestry. At UQAT he does not face any opposition to the realization of its projects, as crazy as they may seems! It is as like the inhabitants of the region had used the flat relief to look farther. As so well says Hugo: “It is only in Abitibi-Témiscamingue that I really feel like I belong, my roots are here”. What he appreciate most of all it is the proximity between people, the “closely woven” social web, made of proud people who help each other.

Maude was born here. After a short stay in college, she decided to reorient her career and the technical class of cooking at the Technical School of Lac Abitibi stinged her curiosity. She was appealed by the complicity between teachers and students. She wants to travel and be a cook from one country to another. Maude explains that her attachment is toward the people of Abitibi and their harmony with nature.

Patrick had seen all of Québec… but Abitibi-Témiscamingue. He chose this place to do his last study training. Once done, he had only one idea… coming back to this innovative region! He is now settled down definitely. He has an other project… to innovate and to reinvent the forest industry using the biomass. He believes that the difference between here and the great cities is the impact that one can have in his surrounding and that the fields of study are wider.

Paul-Antoine, great culture consumer, commit in 1001 cultural projects in the area. He even had the opportunity to develop his personal talent by being at the same time champion liar, storyteller and improviser, while continuing to work on regional development. For him Abitibi-Témiscamingue is a playground that offers a lot of activities, but also a stand that allows everyone to bring out its talent.

Paul-Émile is a medical doctor well involve in his community. His first motivation is the health of the collectivity. He wants to develop innovative projects such as telemedicine, and the creation of a health cooperative and the Tournesol Mission. He knows how to pass on his passion and convince the community to carry on stimulating project. With Paul-Émile, health becomes collective and gets a human touch!

Rubens enjoy outdoor activities, likes to tell fishing story to his friends from his quay… which is… in front of his house! Moreover his quality of life, Rubens also hold an important position despite his young age, and all that right here in Abitibi-Témiscamingue! Anodajay is a professional rapper, he founded his own music production company (7e Ciel Records) and produces shows. But Steve Jolin is also a teacher in physical education and gives writing workshops in French. He takes advantage of everytime he is on stage to sing his love of the region, but above all, he choses to carry on his careers and to get involved with youngsters right here, 600 km from the metropolitan stage.
